Recipient Program
Grateful Guilt - An Organ and Tissue Recipient Session
- Conducted by an experienced TSI facilitator who is an organ or tissue recipient
- For organ recipients only, Grateful Guilt provides a safe haven for recipients to interactively express their feelings after transplant
- Helps recipients resolve feelings of guilt resulting from the transplant experience
- Session is one hour in length and usually precedes TSI’s Phase I and Phase II programs
- May run simultaneously with TSI’s Sorrowful Joy program for donor families

Volunteer Programs
Phase I Volunteer Education Program
- Aiding donor family members, transplant recipients and their families in identifying the emotional aspects of their respective experiences.
- Demonstration of a professional speaking engagement from a donor-recipient perspective.
- Outlining and prioritizing the emotional components of a speech for adaptation to different speaking venues and time frames.
- Participants then outline their own individual stories.
- Group presentations of individual stories
- Professional critiques to enhance presentation abilities

Phase II Volunteer Education Program
- Teaches the new volunteers how to identify and pursue possible speaking engagements
- Educates and empowers volunteers on how to approach schools, religious, and civic organizations, etc. as venues for speaking engagements
- Interactive group exercises designed to enhance or empower volunteers to effectively solicit speaking engagements
